Upcoming Activity

On May 19th at 6:30 pm you will not want to miss our weekday activity. FIRST,  we will all meet together at the church for a mini class on what we can do to prep our gardens and pantries for a canning workshop we will offer in the fall. SECOND, we will offer two great workshops to choose from (can only attend one): 
1:  Menu Planning/Meal Prep:  Sarah Richins will teach this awesome class that will include her time saving techniques on menu planning, meal prep and using coupons to save money during the process.  She will have hand outs with recipes and tips!
2:  Making and Cooking with Herb Oil:  Catherine Glenn will teach us how to cook and grow fresh herbs and give a variety of suggestions on choosing herbs to plant as well as fun recipes and tips on cooking with herbs.  During this class, participants will also be making Italian herb infused olive oil with fresh basil, thyme, rosemary and oregano.  You will be able to take the oil home with recipes and suggestions for using it in your cooking.  The cost to make the herb oil will be approximately $5. Each person will need to bring a 12 oz. bottle or jar to put their oil in  (Orson Gygi has 18 oz. oil bottles with spout for $7.99, or you might find oil bottles at the Dollar Store, TJ Maxx, Smith's Marketplace, Target or Walmart - but don't feel obligated to buy something, use what you have in your house, like a jelly jar or mason jar).  If you just want to listen and not participate you can come to the class and not pay.  We hope to see you all there.  There will be a great tasters table at the end with recipes from both classes!  A nursery will be provided
